Rural and Regional Australia

It is part of the vision of the Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn that the church be Growing Communities Confident in Christ.

We hope Rural Ministry Online will become a significant resource for people in and beyond the diocese, both lay and ordained; a market place for the developing of mission; a place of conversation, encouragement and support about the possibilities of ministry. A key feature of Rural Ministry Online is the celebration of the reality that one size does not fit all. As Archbishop Rowan Williams has observed, we live in a mixed economy of mission possibilities, and it is this ‘mixed economy’ which requires careful reflection and insight.

Mission in rural and regional Australia is, at its heart, incarnational and transforming.  Rural Ministry Online is committed to the women and men who live the mission of Christ every day of their lives.
